2026 Competition Materials Now Live

The 6th Annual ChemE Cube Competition powered by RAPID® | ExxonMobil will focus on Direct Air Capture and Regeneration and take place on November 8th-9th in Minneapolis, MN at the 2026 AIChE Annual Student Conference. Undergraduate student teams from any university are welcome to participate.

Getting Started with ChemE Cube

  1. Download and read the full suite of competition materials listed below.
  2. Review the Informational Webinar from February 3rd.
  3. Review the Virtual Qualifying Presentation Webinar from March 10th. Passcode: Q$WP0aM@
  4. Register to compete in the Virtual Qualifying Presentation by:
    1. Filling out the sign-up form for ALL team members: 2026 ChemE Cube Competition Sign Up Form
  5. Submit your Virtual Qualifying Presentation AND your Chemical Screening Tool using the button below.

2026 ChemE Cube Informational Webinar

Key 2026 Dates

February 3rd 

ChemE Cube staff will provide an in-depth overview of the competition and an introduction to Direct Air Capture problem statement. 

APril 3rd

Teams interested in competing in the 2026 ChemE Cube Competition submit their Virtual Qualifying Presentation by April 3rd.

April 17th

Judges will complete the first review of the Virtual Qualifying Presentations and submit any questions by April 17th.

May 1st

Teams will submit their responses to any questions the judges have by May 1st.

MAY 13th

Finalists are chosen and will confirm their participation for the on-site competition.

August

Informational Webinar for the finalists participating on-site. In greater detail, we will cover logistics, schedules, safety, deadlines, and other pertinent information.   

September

Deadline for first round of the Engineering Design Package (EDP) Submission and Regen Questionnaire.

October 

Deadline for second round of the Engineering Design Package (EDP) Submission, Regen Questionnaire, and Ad submission.
