Establish a technical education and workforce development program that will leverage existing resources to develop the workforce, who can then research, develop, and operate new process intensification (PI) & modular chemical process intensification (MCPI) solutions widely within U.S. industry.

ChemE Cube™
ChemE Cube is an annual student competition where undergraduate university teams design, build, and demonstrate a 1 cubic foot plant to produce a chemistry defined in the annual problem statement (which changes each year). Teams compete on cube performance via a head-to-head duel and promote their technology through a 3-minute ad, poster, and 20-minute 'shark tank' style pitch to a panel of mock investors.
Teaching Resources
- Select RAPID eLearning courses and archived RAPID webinars are free to AIChE Student Members and many universities and faculty have assigned this content to their students, particularly in the Senior Design Class. Suggest considering assigning the abovementioned content as homework assignments.
- In addition, RAPID has specially developed materials to aid in teaching PI and MCPI concepts. These include case studies, design projects, and homework problems with support material such as PowerPoint slides and Excel documents.
